Here’s where I stand theologically on a few key points, especially for those looking for alignment up front:
I believe the Bible is God’s authoritative Word—true, trustworthy, and our foundation for life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105)
I believe in the Father, Yahweh. I believe in the Son, Jesus or Yeshua. I believe in the Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost. (John 10:30, John 14:15-31, 26)
I believe that salvation is available to every person, that is alive and will live in the future, and if every single human being would bend their knee and ask in faith, believing that God has raised Jesus from the dead and that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, WILL be saved! (Philippians 2:8-11) We become the elect upon asking for forgiveness of our sins and turning our backs on those sins. (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9, Proverbs 28:13, Matthew 3:2, Luke 15:7,10)
I believe that baptism is by both water and the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist called it baptism by the Holy Spirit and Fire. (Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16)
I believe that EVERY believer is called to become disciples! We should never express the idea that the church building is the place that one must come to be reenergized. Jesus called us to be disciples making disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20, John 13:34-35, John 15:5, 8, 16, 2 Timothy 2:1-2)
I believe revival is more than just hype—it’s repentance, renewal, and a fresh love for Jesus that changes everything. Revival is to be stewarded well. (2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 85:6, Acts 3:19)
I believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct, empowering work available after salvation and is available to all believers. (Acts 1:8, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:1-7)
I believe ALL the gifts are for today and should be eagerly desired, within the boundaries of Scripture. (1 Corinthians 14:1, 1 Corinthians 14:5, 1 Corinthians 14:27-28, 1 Corinthians 14:39, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
I believe in traditional family values and biblical standards for sex and gender. (Matthew 19:4-6)
I believe Scripture outlines specific roles within the church leadership, with elders and a lead pastor, while also affirming the significant contributions of both men and women in ministry, including teaching, leading, and speaking. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, Luke 6:13-16, Acts 2:17-18, 1 Corinthians 14:31-32, 1 Corinthians 11:3-5, Romans 16:1-7, Judges 4:4-5, Luke 2:36-38, John 20:18)
